Dear Collingswood Families,
It is time to plan for our 2024-2025 Preschool and Kindergarten classes! Please see the specific criteria below for Kindergarten registration and entry into the Preschool Lottery.
Kindergarten
Children are eligible for Kindergarten if they reach the age of 5 on or before October 1, 2024*.
● If your child is new to the Collingswood Public Schools and you are planning to send them to Kindergarten in September, you can begin the registration process by following the directions on our district website’s K-12 Registration page.
If you do not have access to a computer, please reach out to Ms. Lisa Pendarvis at 856-858-0335 ext 7188 for assistance.
● If your child currently attends our four-year old Preschool program, you do not need to register for Kindergarten at this time. Your child will be automatically enrolled in Kindergarten. Any additional documentation that may be required will be communicated to families directly.
Preschool Lottery
Children are eligible for 3- and 4-year old full-day Preschool if they reach the age of 3 (birthday on or before October 1, 2021) or 4 (birthday on or before October 1, 2020) on or before October 1, 2024.
● If your child is new to the Collingswood Public Schools and you are interested in our full-day Preschool program for September, please enroll in our Preschool Lottery starting on Wednesday, February 21st at 10:00am on our district website’s Preschool Registration page. If you do not have access to a computer, please reach out to Ms. Rachael Ostroff at 856-833-5291 ext 8100 for assistance.
● Please note that all 3-year olds currently enrolled in our Preschool program are guaranteed seats in next school years' program. All other children will be admitted based on the number of open seats, determined by the New Jersey Department of Education and results of our Preschool Lottery, on or around April 15th. We ask that you share your interest by completing the Preschool Lottery Application by Monday, April 1st.
In closing, we would appreciate your help in expanding the reach of our program within the Collingswood community for those who may be unaware of our program(s). If you have any friends or neighbors with children of Kindergarten or Preschool age, please pass this information on to them.
