As part of Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we did a school wide activity today: "Ducks of All Feathers Stick Together." Shoutout to 5th grader Gwen Savidge for this idea! Mini ducks of different colors were scattered across the playground and everyone had to work together to make sure each person found one duck. At the end of the activity we took a picture of the whole school together. This activity symbolizes our school community of individuals with different neurotypes working together and supporting each other.
