Several of our Zane North students qualified for and competed in the World Finals of Odyssey of the Mind in Michigan this past weekend, as members of the team "Collingswood Hamsters." The team has been working together since October on a performance-based problem called the AstronOMical Odyssey, for which they had to write, build and perform a stage show featuring a fictional human civilization, incorporating stellar constellations, a shooting star, and a humorous astronomer character. Congratulations to June B., Jack. B., Olivia M., Alistair H., and Dylan M., whose Collingswood Hamsters team took 12th place out of 61 teams from across the country and world at the World Finals! We are very proud of these Zane North Stars!
Our Zane North STAR program recognizes students and staff who exemplify characteristics that are key to helping our school thrive: Safety, Teamwork, Acceptance & Inclusion, and Reaching for the Stars (making an extra special effort on classroom academics).
