Dear Collingswood Community
The Collingswood Commissioners are holding a Town Forum tonight at 7 pm at the Collingswood Senior Community Center to give residents an opportunity to ask questions and share their concerns with the Commissioners about the Board of Education’s recent funding request. We encourage Collingswood community members to attend and share their concerns with the Commissioners.
While the Board and District will not be attending the Commissioners’ Town Forum, we look forward to meeting with the Mayor on Thursday to discuss the Board’s funding request and any options that can lower the burden on Collingswood residents. We have also invited all three Commissioners to meet and discuss the funding request with the entire Board of Education during our public meeting this coming Monday, March 10th.
To learn more about the $3.6 million structural deficit and the Board’s funding request, please see the “News” section on the District website at https://www.collsk12.org. To learn more about the structural nature of this deficit, please visit https://www.bridgethegapcolls.com, a website about school funding put together by two Collingswood community members.
